What is Pixie?
It is an educational program that helps to understand the following topics:
- Molecular dynamics simulations of simple molecules
- Physics of condensed - especially - disordered matter
- Relations between microscopic features of the matter and its macroscopic quantities - on behalf of structural functions
What is it based on?
It is based on several interesting components:
- Python language
- wxPython an excellent GUI library based on wxWidgets
- Numeric and Numarray
- Many lines of C++ code binded to Python using Swig
Thanks to mentioned tools, Pixie can work under Windows and Linux without rewriting the code!
